The tour begins at the Upper County Park, James City County. From the east (Newport News, Hampton, Virginia Beach) take I 64 to exit 227, turn left on Rte 30, go 5/10 mile, then turn right on Rte 746 (by gas station) go 3/10 mile, turn right on Rte 674 and go 3/10 mile to park entrance. From the west (Richmond, Washington DC) take I 64 east to exit 227, turn right on Rte 30, go 2/10 mile, then turn right on Rte 746 (by gas station) go 3/10 mile, turn right on Rte 674 and go 3/10 mile to park entrance.
